The Rollei Summer Opening presented by Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge at the Brandenburger Strand in Westerland on Sylt is now over and we have two joint champions! The excellent weather conditions enabled us to run races on every event day - seven Slalom eliminations and 11 Formula Windsurfing races. The outcome of the Championship was still unsafe until the end of the last race. In the end there are two joint winners on the podium: Vincent Langer (GER-1, RRD, Point-7) from Germany and Sebastian Kornum (DEN-24, JP, Neil Pryde) from Denmark, both titled "Funboard Racing Champion 2014".......( more )

Just as in the days before, the wind at the Rollei Summer Opening presented by Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge blew everybody away and offered perfect conditions for windsurfing. This enabled us to run four Formula Races with constant wind of force four to five. Sebastian Kornum (DEN-24, JP, Neilpryde) and Christian Justesen (DEN-26, RRD, Point-7) absolutely showed off their best form.......( more )

The second day of the Rollei Summer Opening presented by Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge welcomed the guests with a lot of sunshine and about 3 to 4 Bft. The promenade at the Brandenburger Strand in Westerland was crowded with thousands of spectators. As promised in yesterday's forecast the weather offered perfect conditions for Formula Racing. At the and of the day three races were finished. Winner of the day, Sebastian Kornum DEN-24, JP, NeilPryde) finished two out of three races in leading position.......( more )

The first day of the Rollei Summer Opening presented by Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge brought perfect conditions for the discipline slalom. Up to seven Bft and four slalom eliminations are the result of the first regatta day. Vincent Langer (GER-1, RRD, Point-7) dominated all races and leads consequently in the overall ranking.......( more )
