Explore Japan

Japan, surrounded by sea, offers number of great locations to windsurf.  Most well-known of which is probably Omaezaki, where such legendary events like "Sometime World Cup" was held back in 80s.

Today, the sport may not be as big and popular as it used to be, but still, many people do enjoy it throughout the year.   In fact, if you go south from Tokyo (about 50km), you will see many windsurfers old and young at such beaches like "Kamakura (Zaimokuza) beach" and "Zushi beach".

Heleen Muijsers on the North Shore Sardinia

Surfing in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.   A pure windsurfing lifestyle movie with love of the ocean and nature.  While traveling and discovering planet earth's special treasures I'm happy to share my passion. The last seven months I've been surfing, windsurfing and climbing on Sardinia, La Madalena, Caprera and the South of Corsica.

Enjoy my latest clip 'North Shore Sardinia'.

This is the official full movie when Max Matissek joined Philip Soltysiak on a Windsurfing Into the Unknown adventure on Vancouver Island, Canada. Joined by Phil's younger brother Tom, they camped and searched for windsurfing spots few have ever heard of in the summer of 2013.

The two professional windsurfers and seasoned travellers have been to some of the best windsurfing destinations around the world, and it was now a chance for Canada's West Coast to prove its worthiness as a destination for adventure windsurfers.

The trip took the riders from Jordan River and Gordon's Beach, across to Port Renfrew, into Lake Cowichan and Nitinat Lake, to Port Alberni and finishing off on the Pacific coast in Tofino. All the while the team camped in the island's Pacific Temperate Rain Forest, cooking and keeping warm with a campfire, and trying to keep wildlife away from their food.

Windsurfing Into the Unknown: Jericoacoara SpotGuide

After exploring Colombia in 2010 and Kenya in 2012, Philip Soltysiak and Michael "Rossi" Rossmeier went to Brazil for the third chapter of Windsurfing Into The Unknown. During this stop-over, they produced an extensive spotguide of Jericoacoara, focusing on spots like Lagoa Azul, Paraiso, the Flag and the Duna do Por de Sol and mixing up the freestyle with some wave sailing.

The mission of Rossi and Phil is to discover and explore the world's coastlines, learn with and through local cultures with an open mind and respect for the natural environment, guided by their passion and addiction to nature's elements of wind and water. Read more about their idea behind the project and the Jeri clips: Interview with Rossi and Phil
