Desaru is a famous tourist coastal beach resort on the south east coast of west Malaysia. The weather has been kind, sunny throughout the event. Wind blowing from North Easterly at the tail end of the north east monsoon. A total of 9 races conducted. This fabulous event is run in-conjunction with the Johor International Regatta which attracted more than 280 participants. Total of 28 RS:One windsurfer from 5 countries from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia and Indonesia competed in this RS:One Asian Championship.
