The beautiful island of Terceira in the Azores Archipelago will play host to the 2013 European Formula Windsurfing Festival. The event scheduled for 29th April to 5th May will include a round of the 2013 FW European Cup and the Junior, Youth & Masters European Championship. Azores will also be the venue for next year's Worlds for youth/master/women. The fourth episode of the Starboard "Around" series by Sean O'Brien leads us to Germany. Oliver-Tom Schliemann shows us around the island of Sylt, famous for its long sandy beach and amazing windsurfing conditions. The IFCA Slalom Worlds 2013 will take place in Westerland from May 8th to 12th, one of the highlights of the Rollei Summer Opening, at one of Europe's finest locations for racing. Club Bofor, Viganj, will host the 2013 'ESET NOD32 Antivirus' Formula Windsurfing World Championship, sponsored by NORT d.o.o, from 8th to 13th July. The venue is well known to many racers, having hosted previous editions of the the Croatian Open Championships. This year's event is also a stop on the 2013 European Cup Tour.......( more ) |

A wide range of excellent conditions tested the sailors at the Techno 293 North American Championships at Merritt Island, Florida this past weekend (Feb 28-March 3). Strong teams from USA, Peru, and Mexico, in particular, were duking it out in the U17 and U15 age groups.......( more ) |
