At last the news everyone has been waiting for, it is now confirmed that the 2015 Techno 293 World Championships will held from 24th to 31st October at Windsurfing Club Cagliari, Italy, hosts of the 2011 Techno 293 European Championships. |

Light wind in the beginning, followed by storms and thunder on the next day and stable 7-10 m/s wind on the last day of the Lithuanian leg of Neilpryde Baltic Cup, which took place in Svencele, a windsurfing paradise in the Curronian Lagoon. "Such conditions made this race very interesting and challenging. After all, we can truly say, that the winners really are the best," said one of the judges, Mindaugas Cirvinskas.......( more ) |

Over the weekend of 22-24 May on Szale, a small lake close to Kalisz, the oldest town in Poland, the local club UJKS "Szturwal" Kalisz organised the 4th edition of the Major of Kalisz Cup. ......( more ) |

The Windsurfing Euro-Cup had a great start into the season as continental racing and slalom series. The first two events took place in Torbole / Lake Garda (Italy) at the end of April and Sylt (Germany) in mid May. The 7th edition of the Curacao Challenge took place at the Spanish waters between the 14th and 17th of May, directly from the main location of Windsurfing Curacao. The final day of competition dawned hot and sunny, but with no wind - perfect barbecue conditions! Competitors were on hold with the first possible warning signal at 1600. Four races on the final day of the event saw the completion of a 12 race series for this year's world title. Gonzalo Costa Hoevel from Argentina ended the day on the perfect score of 9 points from 12 races - 9 race wins secured him victory and his first Formula Windsurfing World title. ......( more ) |
